Winter Survival Kit | The Necessities

I’ve compiled a list of must-haves for the winter season! While I’ll mention a few things about the specific brands that I’m using, I’m definitely advocating the item itself and any substitute brand that you prefer is definitely fine! Okay–let’s get started!image

Starting clockwise:

1. Hand cream // Right now, I’m alternating between H20’s Spa hand cream and my all time favorite True Blue “Look Ma, New Hands” hand cream from Bath & Body Works. I am actually so in love with Bath & Body Works’ hand cream, it smells AH-MAZING and leaves my hands feeling so incredibly soft. Hand cream is a definite must-have in Toronto’s cold climate and especially, when you’re shuffling your hands around in the cold (juggling your keys, coffee, papers, and what-nots), keeping your hands hydrated is key!

2. Plastic Hair Brush // Anyone else get crazy static hair in the dry season? It’s one of my major pet-peeves in the winter! By the time I get to work, all my hair goes poof. It’s slightly embarrassing so when I realized that a plastic comb would help with the situation, I promptly went out to get one! The one I ended up buying was from The Face Shop. They had crazy Black Friday sales, so extra bonus there!

3. Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer // I’m always so picky with my face creams. I generally like gel-like creams because they leave my face feeling light and fresh. This one, on the other hand, is cream-based so I was wary in the beginning. However, with the winter season in full-force, I had to get a heavier daily moisturizer. I decided to stick with Aveeno because I’ve heard great things about their ability to keep sensitive skin hydrated. I love the smell of this moisturizer and while it’s cream based, it’s fast absorbing and still feels light.

4. Lip Balm // eos Coconut Milk lip balm! Aside from the adorable shape, this lip balm is a must-have, basically for all seasons!
