Distillery District Love

The other day me and my friends went to check out the Distillery District in Downtown Toronto. I have been here once before, two summers ago, but only in the morning. I was curious to see if the evening scene was any different.
For those of you who haven’t been, I would describe the Distillery District as a eclectic little hideaway from the city. Not quite near a subway station stop, you have to take a streetcar transfer to arrive at this historic site. There, you’ll find little shops selling crafts and unique clothes along with bars and restaurants.

We had a nice walk around the area. They had a wall of love locks, like the one in Paris. The stores were just about closing and the restaurants were starting to get busy. We ate at a place called Pure Spirits with an outdoor lounge seating area. The only thing missing was a FIFA match playing on screen! Since the district has an outdoor atmosphere, when you look up, it’s quite amazing to see a few high-rise condominiums and the night sky above. Definitely check this place out if you’re around. A perfect Friday night spot!
