Silk Beginnings

I am in love with this silk blouse that I got from Uniqlo. It’s very versatile depending on what I pair with it. When I wear it with my black jeans (like the outfit pictured above) it can just be another casual day outfit that I wear to school. It looks put together, because the blouse just gives the outfit a more sophisticated look. But, whenever I pair it up with a black skirt or suit pants, the feel of the outfit changes completely and it can be worn to work, interviews or a night out at a formal function.

In this outfit, I’m wearing my Steve Madden Trooper boots. I’ve had them for about 2 or 3 years now and they are so worn-out, it’s ridiculous. I really should replace them, but I’m just too attached! Does anyone else ever get attached to their shoes (or piece of clothing)? It’s such a common feeling for me, sigh. Whenever I wear these boots, I also love wearing my “Canadian socks” or at least that’s what I call them. They’re so warm and made from this wool-like material. I remember going camping with those socks and they just remind me of being outdoors, canoeing and soaking up the sun. I’m definitely missing those days as we head into midterm season!
