Holiday Round-up

January 4, 2014 § Leave a comment

As the holiday season is winding down, I’m beginning to mentally prepare myself for another semester. But I’m glad that the past few weeks were filled with fun and relaxation!imageimageChristmas Eve was spent at Mariposa at the Neiman Marcus in Honolulu for afternoon tea. A delicious pick me up during last minute shopping!imageChristmas with family and close family friends basically warrants a food coma that last hours. For one of the desserts, I decorated a cake roll with home made whipped cream to make a winter wonderland. In honor of my sister’s new obsession with Olaf (from Frozen), I added a cute snowman.
imageThe first was full of traditional Japanese New Years celebration food, that included a colorful array of dishes in lacquered boxes and ozoni, a soup with mochi rice cake and a variety of vegetables.

As bummed as I am that the holidays have come and gone, I’m excited for some exciting events in the coming months!
