Buried in Books

December 10, 2013 § Leave a comment

With several finals and essays due this week, I’ve definitely started to feel the pressure. Not to say that’s been enough to keep me on track with all my studying though! So to motivate me, and maybe some of you!, throughout finals, I’m making a survival guide with some discussion on style, music, and more!IMG_2315As much as we want to dress cute or at least presentable, study days often put style on the back burner. For me, I like to stay comfortable and chic to motivate me while I study. Wearing scarves can be important if you study in libraries and can’t control the temperature; better prepared than not!IMG_2326Here, I’m wearing a Quicksilver slouchy sweater over my black Brandy Melville Jada Dress¬†then topped it off with a Forever21 scarf and chucks.

Music is absolutely necessary for my studying. I can’t seem to concentrate in silence, so here I’m linking YouTube videos for some of my current favorite songs.
Haunt – Bastille
Taste My Sad – Bear//Face
Sons & Lovers – Black Light Dinner Party
Smallpools – Dreaming

Having an arsenal of yummy snacks is also mandatory for those study days. Right now, I’m obsessed with clementines as a healthy and easy snack, but I definitely have some other guilty pleasures. Enter Skittles, Cookies, and all other junk foods!

If you haven’t figured out by now, I’ll let you in on a little secret: this post is me procrastinating on studying! But now it’s time to kick into high gear for the next few days.

See you on the other side!
