What’s SUP?

August 7, 2013 § 6 Comments

Last weekend, I got the chance to try stand up paddling, or as it’s otherwise known, SUP! It’s one of my favorite activities I was able to do during my stay on Oahu. I took a trip with some friends to Bay of Dreams in Waianae, where Uncle George hosts free SUP.photo-6In possibly one of the most reckless of moves, I decided to take my camera out with me; a non-waterproof camera. By the time I felt brave enough to take it out with me though, I had gone out long enough that I was more confident about not tumbling into the water. Luckily, we got a few good pics without any water damage!photo-7The location of paddle boarding was beautiful and we were fortunate enough to have gone on a gorgeous day. Every time I was out in the bay on my board, I couldn’t help but just float and look out at the mountain line or gaze out into the blue ocean. Once, I even paddled right by a huge turtle! So cute!photo 1Hopefully, I’ll get a chance to SUP in Southern California as well!
